We have no choice, we are legally enforced to pay, yet we ALL (everyone in the UK) have a terrible service not only in water quality and repairs. But we are also under water bans etc etc. YET no infrastrsture spending has taken place. United Utilities (for example) have built NO NEW Reservoirs in 10 YEARS. Despite the ever increasing population.

ALL Water companies, despite HUGE profits employ sub contracting companies – DID YOU KNOW? I DID NOT! – So your personal data is access by people OUTSIDE of named water company you are contracted to! As you only gave knowly express permission to the NAMED Water Provider – HUGE GDPR breach for every water company. Many of these sub contracting companies use sub contracting. ALL ACCESS TO YOUR PERSONAL DATA. Is this right and fair? – Work contracted out, saving costs – FOR HUGE PROFITS.
You, as the Data Owner are entitled to ANY information a company holds on you. And you need to ensure it is correct and up to date, fairly used and safely stored. The Aim is also to ensure that YOUR Data is not being mis-handled (some companies sell your data), be responsible for our natural resources, nor maintained effectively, wasting this valuable resource. BUT Also WE ALL need to challenge ALL large organisations! Enough is Enough. The more we take back OUR Power! The quicker they will be forced to change.
We can expect time spent and internal costs to EVERY LETTER SENT – UNTIL THEY CHANGE. NO PROFITS SHOULD BE TAKEN FROM WHAT IS NATURAL AND GOD GIVEN!
OH YES – Their shareholders matter more than you do and our National Water Network! EG UU invested £720M (pprox) on maintenance (further profit to contractors) YET £320M in Dividends. From bills we are FORCED TO PAY – WE HAVE NO Consumer Rights, no option for a different supplier. YET WE ARE ALL expected to not complain or ask questions.
